I've heard Anne Rice say, (paraphrasing), to achieve success in writing, write about your greatest fear. Now writing is therapeutic for me in many contexts, but even thinking about my greatest fear brings me to the brink of complete collapse. So, I don't know how I could bring myself to write about it.

Question: At now 77 I have been told since childhood I "write good". However, I have never become a "good writer". I have come to believe that is because I am a poor reader. Almost all of what I write is based on what I have seen and heard.
