Having driven our id.3 now for at least 6 months we use b mode around town and is all most one pedal driving until you need too auto hold . The car has been faultless . So pleased we went electric. We, ve done about 4500 miles mostly around town. Saved us a fortune at the pumps. One cool car.

I use B mode all the time around Town and D mode on dual carriageways / motorways ect. D mode allows the id.3 to coast. Our id.3 has been perfect . One very quiet comfortable car.

Late to this video, but its worth saying that in `B` mode in an emergency stop situation, you are slowing significantly the instant you start lifting your foot from the accelerator and not just coasting until you've moved you foot to the brake pedal and fully depressed it. A significant fraction of a second saved and a reduced stopping distance - in an emergency any saving is worth having.

I did a test drive in an iD3, the dealer didn't mention D and B mode, so I put it in D for drive and almost rear ended a car in front because there was no regen braking which I had been told about.

It's not a brake pedal symbol but it's telling you to take your foot off the accelerator and coast to the roundabout/junction.

B around the town. Shame you cannot increase the regeneration, as for me needs to be a little stronger.

I'm used to VW Golf 7, manual gear. Which mode would you recommend me? If the car is coasting along in D mode, then B feels safer especially when i need to be slow, e.g in parking garages.

If you drive icy roads, (black ice like) you will use the D mode, the breaking of the generator is not funny you will feel your car sliding, in D mode its optimal, its like in a fossil car where you feel icy roads and engage the clutch to take of speed due to the ice, but without the moment you use to engage the clutch. Super mode in icy road conditions.

Does anyone know if the brake lights come on when regen braking?

D does not feel like neutral, it feels like a normal car when stepping off the accelerator. It does régen even in D mode. It's certainly not shocking in any sense.

Il faudrait aller en montagne pour comprendre l’intérêt de mode b
Descendre en mode d revient à vouloir mourir ou alors il faut rétrograder avec l’embrayage d’où l’intérêt du mode b
