Today my husband had kept his shaving gel(Gillette) for throwing, which was brand new, but the gel was not coming out. I searched on YouTube for some hack, came across this video! Since i dint have a can opener, I opened it very crudely by using a knife and a plier 🤣😅. But guess what, it worked absolutely perfect!
I have kept the entire plastic sack in another container, want to show my husband, the recovered shaving gel !!!

I just tried it and although the can opener couldn't get "inside the rim" to open the can (my brand of can is narrower than yours) i was at least able to make a random hole with the can opener, and then afterwards I prised the rest off with a pair of pliers, got the bag out and put it in a jar). With the pliers though you have to be very careful not to slip and hurt yourself as you're making your way round the can. Thanks again for the video !! Without watching this, I would never have realised you could open the can and inside there was just a bag. 😅

Thanks for this. I have the same issue with the same product. I only shave a couple times a week so there's still at least 1/2 of the gel left. I am not buying these GIllette products anymore. Going to try opening mine up tomorrow, cheers!

Great idea.. but can opener could not open the top - but worked fabulously to open the bottom. Pierced the bag with a knife and the gel ran out. Poured that into an pump soap dispenser. Problem solved.

Great tip. Like others I had to open from the bottom. Pulled the bag with some needle nose pliers, it came right out. I put the contents into a couple of 3 oz travel bottles.

yeah, only once opened it will dry out what is left of it, and unless you can do something to maintain the moisture it will probably be a one time use once you opened it, and that clearly wasn't intended for when was sold as a spray gel can combo, but the tip for opening it like a normal can was surely useful

Thank you so much for this video. I had to open from the bottom of the can, as my can opener wouldn't grip around the top at all. Then I just punched a hole in the bag and squeezed everything out to an airtight container for use. Love these money-saving hacks, thanks again!
