Car review: SsangYong Rexton

SsangYong are becoming increasingly popular with caravan owners and the Rexton certainly has impressive towing credentials with a maximum capacity of 3,500kg. This range-topping Ultimate Plus model also adds a touch of luxury, as James Batchelor found out.

Good review enjoyed it ! I have the rexton ultimate plus and is a excellent car ! Took It into the lake District last winter on snow covered lanes and it was very capablen and The 4x4 system works really well ! So it Doesn't drive like a SUV but it has character so have that n mind and you not be disappointed. I done fair few miles in it now an really enjoying it 👍

Thank you. That was a fair review, I have the model before this one and it does the job well, I am not a sheep and follow everyone else because they say its good, I tow a large Coachman Lazer and it does that very well, Buy one and you wont regret it

Love the front end, the rear end doesn’t look too bad either but the view from both sides especially the front wings then that’s where it lets itself down a tad. Good rugged 4x4 with a good well built interior but sadly lacks adaptive cruise control, oh well I’ll just have to keep using my good judgment while driving a vehicle like this, it’s not a deal breaker and driving a 44 tonner for a living the Rexton would make an ideal towcar for my big twin axle caravan. 🙂

Just try buying one in Sweden, try to even see one let alone test driving one. No responses from the dealers or company offices…so I bought a Volvo XC90 and I am really very happy with it
