SCS needs to add the abilty to actially walk (with animation of opening the doors). And the ability to get supplies or shower breaks at truck stops, or add oil/inspect ur truck. Would also be nice if we could load and unload the cargo ourselves (maybe optional). Also we should be able to customize garages and actually see our npc trucks sitting in there, instead of only 1 door opening. It would also be nice if there was an option to actually sleep in the motels when you come across one, perhaps for money. This way the game will not be only driving, but based around the actual life of a trucker.

The game has the potencial to be the ultimate trucking experience. Unfortunaly, SCS remains a small developer because the games sells good to keep the rythme of dlc that we have had until now but not enough to expand beyond. We need to keep in mind that simulators as a whole, only appeal to a small number of hardcore player and are not aim to become massive hits. Nonetheless, As for me, I will keep buying everything SCS produces.

To make it more realistic, use the option "Air brakes simulation" and "Realistic fuel consumption". It makes the air in the air brake tank empty when you brake a lot and the fuel will run out quickly at high rpm

When I play, I always walk around the truck and roleplay checking the kingpin and such. 😂 And the other things you list are good to. Awesome Video!

head tracking helps a lot with immersion. With a wheel, pedals and a shifter, it's a must.

It would be cool to add a pretrip inspection to make it more real where you can actually "inspect" the truck and trailer for things like brakes out of adjustment, lights out, tire depth, hose and electrical condition, and fluids. Then add an air leakage test and youd be a real virtual trucker.

Have you heard about "truck world: Australia?" it is in development and aims towards more simulation like checking on the load and refueling yourself.

I like scs dlc's and updates but game is still somewhat boring after long time. It would be cool if there would be more features other than driving. Like loading the truck with forklift, having used truck dealership and random breakdown's ect. All those would make it more realistic.

So what id like to see in ATS is the ability to actually have to deliver to gas stations and actually have to fully dock trailers. Id also love to be able to open my trailers and slide the tandems. oh and being able to see my AI workers driving around.

What I do is like to do run Estes Express and FedEx and do local runs as LTL and I would sometimes run without actual cargo and pretend to deliver or pick up loads and take them to the Distribution Center.
I hope someday LTL will actually be a thing in ATS and as well as run doubles and have to disconnect both trailers and back them into 2 different spots. Also hope to be able to deliver food to restaurants as well.

I have prob over 700+ hrs in ATS and while I do love it. I do wish they or somebody else would do Big rig trucking game. There so many things still missing from ATS. Like proper maintain on truck/engines and parts. No oil changes. The mods like Zee’s mods use REAL truck sounds where SCS sounds suck. Zee’s c16 is still my favourite. Also wish could actually get oil truck and do proper check on truck/engine and tires. Trucks should break down and show damage. Should be better management of money. Of paying for building/cost of parts. Tires, oil everything you do in real truck driver. Having your mechanic etc.

So many things SCS is missing for ATS. Could even do a story with RPG element. When start the game. Could have story where meet different ppl as maybe you inherit a truck maybe from pass family member and slowly build your trucking company. Speak different ppl. Have choices on which jobs you take. Go do training for your CDL and slowly build your trucking company.

Great ideas tbh. I do some modding but often wonder if programming could add more stuff like this to the game.
