Even the humble eraser comes in many shapes and sizes, and some are so intriguing that they have made their way into Tim's amazing toy collection! Here Tim demonstrates a few of the erasers that especially appeal to him, while studiously ignoring the ones that rub him up the wrong way!

The weird Japanese ones are actually really well designed for erasing. The white one made of several blocks is designed to allow you to always have an edge to erase. The “dice” one isn’t a dice design, the numbers correlate to the thickness of the eraser. This allows you to have a extremely precise tip (1) or a big tip to erase a large mistake(5).

i don’t know if the fact that every single one of these comments is about how disappointed we are we didn’t get to see tim actually rub one out is incredible or just sad.

I think I can help with the oddly shaped Japanese erasers (2:13) : They have a lot of corners and pointed bits for artists to easily erase smaller details! It can be hard to erase small areas when sketching, so they are very helpful!
