Fun Fact: Grey Goose used to come in a plastic bottle and was cheaper. The company raised the price and changed the bottle, it was a psychological trick to make it seem higher quality and IT WORKED!

Fun Fact: Buy shit vodka then run it through a Brita filter. Turn that $10 bottle into a $20 one.

Once you get out of the bottom shelf realm of sugar and liqueur being added to the vodka, the quality difference across price ranges becomes less apparent. I'd say that at that point it becomes a matter of personal preference. But the expensive stuff actually is closer to being odorless and flavorless than the cheaper stuff.

I heard this colorless, odorless, tasteless argument before and I’m convinced that nobody who’s ever said that has ever tasted or smelled vodka

Reyka vodka, anything more expensive is marketing. Anything below that 25-35$ price point could go down in quality. Personally rekya is 20-25$ vodka, with 10 dollars of marketing baked in because it's made with clean energy and has a 'unique' process because it's made like a gin just without the flavor/aromatics you get with a gin. Id argue it's a top shelf without charging for it, and you get a high quality vodka.

The story of Grey Goose is so cool. The guy set out to create a high end brand of Vodka because he saw that it was missing in the market - it was all marketing and psychology. This was the same guy that imported Jager into America and made it a huge success. He specifically had it made in France because it was automatically associated with luxury. Made like 2 billion in 8 years selling it to Bacardi

Grey goose is only "flavorless" in the sense you are buying alcohol cause it's kool.

I personally find when you leave a bottle of vodka in the fridge for at least 24hrs preferably 48hrs it does take away the alcohol taste of vodka making it smoother and easier to drink forgot to add you should open the bottle first break the seal and let some air in then leave it in the fridge

Vodka is basically just water and ethanol. So its ethanol flavoured.

The cheapest ones are usually called nail polish tier for a reason, theyre "supposed" to be tasteless etc but they aren't because every brand try to cut corners

Thank you, vodka has been classically made from the waste of other products, reduce, distilled, and filtered. So High priced vodka is practically a scam or just status symbol for people who having money to burn on showing off a brand. Love the video❤

Several years ago some tv show did a blind taste test amongst some vodka snobs at a college. Not only could they not pick out their favorite vodka, they actually chose Smirnoff vodka as the one they liked the best. They ran this test at several places with different types of liquor. The only people who could tell the difference were a few who participated in taste testing of alcohol.

to my taste buds; Luksusowa is the only vodka I've had that actually gets close to literally just tasting like water
