Psst. The Genesee River isn't the Erie Canal.

Great video, no doubt is a very interesting city mainly from the point of view in acquiring a house. Straight from Brazil.

Great video, sadly with the recent on set of violent shootings (two triple homicides, police officer ambushed and killed with another shot, along with the daily breaking news of another shooting in the same area with all the local municipalities patrolling our streets along with MCSO & state troopers…) in the last two weeks let alone month, it probably won’t help the market you’re in!! If I wasn’t already here I’d reach out to you in regards to learning more though!!

Top 4 Cons:
1) VERY high taxes ($300, 000 house you would pay $8 - 9K a year (~$700 month) and high sales tax rate of 8% on almost everything you buy

2) High violent crime rate (was 48th murder rate in US in YR 2020)

3) Unless you ski, winters are long (Nov - March)

4) Do your research on Rochester school district and dismal graduation rates

Top 3 Pro's:
1) Surrounded by fresh water

2) Great golfing

3) Reasonable traffic

Hey … I have lived here close to 60 years - and w/ that, I can CONFIDENTLY, write that you haven’t event tapped* (Nowhere) CLOSE to what Rochester WAS, IS NOW … or MIGHT-continue to progress TO BE.

Jamie, no disrespect … thanks for your efforts.

You’re definitely OUT of your element, as well as ranking for personal gain, and rent.

I understand the purpose of this video is to aid in your profession, but ethically, it is really not a good idea to try to draw people to a location that has a very high homicide rate, a very high homeless rate, a history of unsolved homicides and a pattern of ignorance that has never made proper changes after the horrors of Arthur Shawcross, people come up missing daily in Rochester, there is a huge drug problem, it is a very racist community, the water is still polluted and the judical system works against the philosophy of family first, which explains the abundance of children centers such as Hillside, Westfall and St Joseph aka Villa of Hope. Ethically, the truth is, Rochester New York is more dangerous to live than New York City and is ranked one of the highest in the nation for crimes. The cost of housing, including a house should be reduced by those crime indexes but the overall community of Rochester is money hungry idiots.
