Covid Positive Hyderabad Doctor Charged Around Rs 1.50 Lac At Private Hospital Despite Price-Cap

Despite her raising question about the highly excessive charges, the hospital only let the Hyderabad doctor go after receiving payment of around Rs 1.20 lakh. She was charged around Rs 1.5 lakh for 30-hour stay at the hospital.

In Bangalore, things are getting more worse in private hospitals, doesn't matter if you cramp by the neck they would still force you to test for covid-19 before arranging any means of treatment for you, and the results would take a minimum of 4 days to come, For each spending day they were charging somewhere between 10k -25k, totally depends on which hospital you're choosing to go . I cannot in my right mind recommend anyone to go to hospital at all, bcoz even if you're not dead of infection, you will certainly after seeing the hospital bill.

I can understand that private hospital taking advantage of the situation but what I don't understand is why she chooses to go to private hospital when herself is a government service doctor. Is GOVT hospital not trust worthy to deal with covit19. Any way I am sorry for her and to those many fellow citizens who are victimise .
