Enlarged spleen usually causes symptoms like early satiety, so if you eat little but also you feel bloated up, that is number 1. Number two is there is pain in left side of rib cage and number three can also present sometimes with blood factors which are less, WBC Count is less, hemoglobin is less, platelet will be less. This is how is how enlarged spleen presents. Then how do we treat this enlarged spleen? One is if there is an infection, then we have to treat the infection if it is malaria, then treat malaria, if it is typhoid, treat typhoid, if it is TB, you have to treat, then the splenic enlargement will go. Number two if it is because of hemolytic anemias, means the blood cells are dying because the blood cells are dying faster, then we have to treat the blood disease, then the spleen enlargement will go. Number three is if there is a liver problem, there is portal hypertension, the spleen will be enlargement. Number four, if there are any tumors we have to treat the primary cause.
