the mayor of london "us (we), londoners....(to so as not to confuse)...as a regular traveller to london, and watch "bbc london" on a regular basis, i think it's disgraceful that the mayor talks about london as a kind of "outer mongolia"...where only those there know...he is obviously lacking on communication with a) borough commanders; b) the home secretary and the wider london at large....he will never get to a higher office, and, hearing the testimonies of former met chiefs on tv, ...police in london everyday do exceptional things....i think that it's time for someone to have a word in sadiq's ear and say...."aren't u supposed to be the mayor of london...for nor just the 32 boroughs, but for the safety (as a solo traveller i have felt safe in the knowledge that the local police know their stuff)....as for charing cross - corrupt as it always has been...finally, the metaphoric buck is with the home secretary....i reckon that she is a supreme leader, and should win, should she decide to stand....
