STAR TREK 4 New Teaser 2024 is FINALLY Here...

Get ready for Star Trek 4! While separate from other projects like the Section 31 spin-off and a prequel by Toby Haynes, Star Trek 4 promises to thrill fans. Paramount debates between continuing the Kelvin Timeline or rebooting the franchise. Although Chris Pine and the cast are eager to return, the studio's direction remains uncertain.

I personally hope they would find a way to reset the movie series to erase the Kelvin timeline and go back to the original series history but retain the cast with Chris Pine. If they were to come up with a movie that did that using the original cast, restoring Vulcan, etc., I think that would be fantastic.

Pine and his crew are really good casting. I really do like them - but the story writing wasn't always great. I'd like to see them all again. I wouldn't mind the Pine/Hemsworth Kirk story. I think it could be really good. I'd be happy with just one more good Trek movie. Just one, before this world apparently comes to an end...

Since hearing about the idea of a time-travel story to have both George and James Kirk interact, I felt excited for the idea of what James missed since in both the 2009 film and "Beyond" he states he feels like he's living in the shadow of a man he never knew. There are so many directions this could go with either George being pulled from 2233 to 226X and hearing what James had done or Kirk and a couple of his officers encountering George before the Narada.
If they continue with the Kelvin timeline then they don't necessarily need to recast Chekov, but could had an in-dialogue explanation for his absence (transfer, killed off-screen) with someone else taking his place. The SGA finale refereneced the death of one of the characters (Gen. George Hammond) by stating the actor's real-life death, if they continued the timeline they could do something similar

I love the new Kelvin cast, however, we have to face it. They're all huge now and too expensive. What needs to happen is ending the Kelvin timeline and returning one crucial character to the Prime timeline: David Marcus. He's a legit link to TOS, legit link to William Shatner's Kirk, ripe for a continued storyline. And I'd love to see, if Shatner was up to it, some re-entry of David to Kirk's life. Kirk deserved a better ending.

It needs to go back to following the show cast. It should take place when Pike has his “event” and the Enterprise passes to Kirk. Essentially a tribute to the TOS beginning.

Of course they could just copy another episode of TOS. take the lazy way out. They ought to do a movie/series on the Klingon Empire, there is an awful lot of material there.

Ok in The Wrath of Kahn. Kirk was depressed about being an Admiral in his 50's and not out there as captain of a ship. Wrath of Kahn was 15 years and in the movie Kirk even says that ita been 15 years since he has seen Kahn. 2009 to 2024 is 15 years. So did Kelvin timeline Kirk become an admiral and be depressed that he's in his 50's now? It could be very interesting to go down this route. Pine's Kirk is older and wiser now. Checov could have been killed off screen a few years ago since it's a new timeline. I wonder if the Whale probe comes to Earth in the Kelvin timeline?
