I'm so excited! I've been retopo-ing a lot of old CAD data from clients all day, and it's REALLY useful. I get some errors of course, but mostly it's possible to massage the settings to get clean results even from really crappy CAD. Max is heading towards a very good place at the moment. Great video as usual Eloi, take care!

excellent tutorial. Tons of useful infos and new modifiers I totally missed. Great.
I was ready to abandon Max forever. But damn, this new Retopology modifier destroys every other auto retopo tool. The results are outstandingly close to what I'd do by manually retopologizing. Except here you get the result in seconds instead of days.

Render to texture with projection modifier ll fix the errors on projected UVs.

Thanks, this tutorial is very helpful. Just a note though, I've been playing with Retopology today on my own scanned models, and I like the results from QuadriFlow better than Reform especially when there's more polygon reduction involved. YMMV of course.
