In this video I give a detailed explanation of the difference between distance and displacement. Also included are four excellent examples that will help you to gain a full understanding of these two important physics concepts. Distance is scalar quantity that tells you as how far an object has traveled while displacement is a vector quantity that gives you your change in position. Yes, they may sound like the same thing but they are very different from each other. Watch the video for a full explanation.
