How To Install Vinyl Plank Flooring STEP BY STEP

So, I locked the second row in horizontally, but the end where a board butts up against the end of the previous piece has a gap. So I pound on the other end and it rips up the other piece on the edge where they are supposed to join. One piece ruined. At least I'll have a tapping piece, I guess. How do you tilt it up against the one edge, lock it in, and then lock it in against the edge of the previous piece in the same row since you can no longer tilt it?
