I am installing this same plank in my basement. I use a scrap 2x4 to evenly distribute the pressure from the mallet across the locking mechanism. They damage very easily.

Says in the instructions, not to step them in a pattern. Should use the piece you cut off of the row before, to start the next row.

That pattern looks “laddered”, meaning, The joints aren’t randomized. - The After looks good. But does it look good from far or far from good? - If it works, it works, but I have questions.
