Rosamund always seems like a child when she's in front of her mama. Violet plays no games and her children know it, no matter how old lol. To be able to portray that on screen is pretty good acting.

Honestly, Rosamund was the one to give Edith away. No one pays enough attention to Edith to notice if something is wrong. It honestly wouldn't have been that hard for Edith to hide the pregnancy, even in England, then hide the baby, and no one would notice.

Violet certainly is smart when it comes to her observations of others. Took her no time at all to guess that something was up.

Hot take: I've heard it said that if Mary wasn't so dismissive and disinterested toward Edith or something like this had happened to anyone else, she probably would have put two and two together around the same time Violet did. While I'm no Mary fan, I do know that she's smart, and a lot of those smarts come from her grandmother. So, I believe it.
