It’s also a matter of not having your own ego and being curious what a stranger might know.

Note to self: Staff help you more if you say something ego-boosting like: ''It seems like you've got some experience here - like you've been doing this for a while'' and then let them start talking.

The Home Depot lady at the beginning of the short works in a North Phoenix, AZ Home Depot and she absolutely knows her stuff and is indeed an employee at Home Depot ☺️

As someone who has done some home remodeling in Las Vegas... I don't think I've ever found a true 90° corner in any room ever.

Please don't use liquid nails to put your moldings on. Later you're going to remodel and you're going to go and try and pull those off of there and it's going to rip your wall to shreds. Instead of it being a couple hundred dollar job it's going to be a few thousand dollars. Talk to a local contractor if you're looking for construction advice.

Lol this will work 10% of the time. Many people at home depot is contractors

Most employees have zero first hand knowledge and just regurgitate what they've heard.

Never ask a Home Depot employee anything about construction.

What does an out of plumb wall have to do with glue?

Use a garbage construction adhesive because the walls aren't plumb?

This really is Idiocracy.

I thought this was going to be how to flirt at Home Depot.

This assumes that the person you talk to is not just a retail assistant. It is a fallacy that a lot of people do not realise, a lot of the time their advice is based solely on personal experience. I know because I used to work in my country's version of that store. I am not a tradesman. But the compliments are still nice.

That's a needle in the haystack kind of story.

Makes no sense…..if a wall is plumb or slightly outta plumb or a lot outta plumb ………the nail still holds the same. FIGHT ME

I understand the main point of your rhetoric but you used absolutely inadequate information to resolve your thesis

Ego is pride. Pride is a grave sin. Repent and put your faith in the LORD Jesus Christ.

You can also give someone a genuine compliment which isn't a sin. It just makes the other person happy.

This is not my experience at all. It has been atleast 15 years since anyone at home depot or lowes was even remotely competent. Maybe 5 people, if that, that even knew what the products do.
