What is Wicca??? Its Not Witchcraft and Different Types of Wicca!!!!

Wicca is a belief system and way of life based upon the reconstruction of pre-Christian traditions. It is not Witchcraft!!! The two divinities are often infused with a symbolic quality, whereby the goddess is typically symbolized as the Earth or the moon, while the god is symbolically embodied within the sun. The Wiccans also believe that personal accountability is crucial and that no harm should be done to another individual.

I would disagree. While Wicca is a belief system it is also a practice or, as you mentioned in your video, is "a way of life" and while there is not a set doctrine or dogma that is followed there are tenets that those who practice Wicca follow, one of which is "the practice of Witchcraft or magick". I would suggest that those who identify as Wiccan and who do NOT practice magick are not following the essence of what Wicca represents.

All Wiccans are Witches, but not all Witches are Wiccan.

In my opinion the main difference between Traditional Witchcraft and Wicca is the presence of the gods, meaning that within Wicca there is a structure and relationship between The God / The Lord and Goddess / The Lady and within Traditional Witchcraft there need not be a presence of deity.

I'm a check this out fully, but was skimming & had a question. So which id more closely tied to African centered spirituality, Wicca, or witchcraft? It seems Wicca is more European centered, or a "watered down" version of witchcraft or those who are shamans/spiritual leaders in their tribes. Like Masons compared to the true Egyptian mystery schools. Is this so?

I worked with a guy that is Wiccan but doesn't practice witchcraft and I practice witchcraft but am not Wiccan (although I have studied and considered it) and we had some good conversations during lunch.

Yes, it get's complicated!! Normally when one starts trying to tie Wicca to a persons views of what it should and shouldn't be. There really aren't that many rules, just people trying to govern (human nature ; ) ) by creating rules and trying to enforce those rules, within a following. Wicca is the celebration of nature and nature herself cannot be governed. Live by the Wiccan Rede as we only have control over our own actions. We all need to be mindful of how we live our lives and treat others. Whether one chooses to practice magick, is and should always be a personal choice. Ever mind the rule of three!
