Fox News has learned Thomas Matthew Crook's parents called police just hours before the young man opened fire on a weekend Trump rally, killing one and injuring the former president.

The 20-year-old parents; Mary Elizabeth Crooks and Matthew Brian Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, are licensed as professional counselors, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State Licensing System Verification service.

Crooks motive remains unclear at this time. Records show that Thomas was a Republican voter, but donated $15 to a progressive political action committee on January 20th.

When parents call police to report their 20 year old is missing during daytime hours, they knew he was disturbed.

It's crazy how many chances they had to stop this guy.

A twenty year old missing during the day means that his parents knew he was deranged. Why did he have access to their weapons?

So the police were informed several times at several points of the day and did nothing.

A 20 year old doesn’t get reported missing during the daytime if there is not something else at issue.

What type of parents call police for a 20 yr old adult man not being home on Saturday, especially during the day time? That sounds more strange to me.

Parents call police because their 20 year old adult son man is missing in daylight hours? Come on man.

The local police department is looking worse and worse every day

The parents know much more than they are telling officials.

There is something wrong with this guy if his parents were calling police for a "missing" 20 year old.
The "sloped roof" excuse makes me suspicious of complicity by the Secret Service. Sounds like a lame excuse/coverup.

Calling the police after not being able to reach your 20 year old son for a couple of hours is toxic at best. Something is missing here.

Why use his middle school picture? Was his baby picture at 10 months unavailable?

The police and secret service need to be investigated

If the parents called “local police” to say their son was missing, that would have been Bethel Park police. Butler is 56 miles from Butler. Unless the parents said “Our son stole his father’s gun and said he’s going to the Trump rally”, why would cops 56 miles away be looking for him there?

✅The fact that the parents called the police for a grown adult son missing for few hours means something about this adult boy concerned them.

The parents suspected something. You don't call the police if your 20-year-old son is missing for a few hours.

That seems very peculiar for parents to be "worried" that their 20 YEAR OLD adult son is not at home for a few hours.

That day he had told his parents he was going to the shooting range. How can he be missing? I have the feeling that the parents knew he was up to no good.
