Instead of long division can’t you just do top heavy partial fractions like at 11:33 just do (x^3+2)/(x+1)= ax^2+bx+c+d/(x+1)

algebraic division is the worst, you could use the grid method instead and it will always work

for x/x-1 can u take u=x so it becomes x - 1/2x2 ?
