Actually synthetic division can also work when the divisor is ax+ab=a(x+b) or ax-ab=a(x-b) form too!! just divide by x+b or x-b as usual, but then you divide the final quotient and remainder by a.

And a side note: dear blackpenredpen if you've ever read the wikipedia page on expanded synthetic division, could you make a video explaining what they mean? Thank you for your videos!!
