All these years I've seen this, and I never knew that was Alfred Molina. The actor who portrayed my favorite Spider-Man villain.

The sound effect used for the giant rolling boulder is actually the recorded sound designers car rolling over a gravel road.

RIP cinematographer Douglas Slocombe. You did at least two things anyone can hope to do… Help create something as long lasting as a movie like Raiders and also live to 103.

POV: You’re hyped for Spiderman NWH and were looking at what movies Alfred has been in and ended up here, I had no idea he was in this either.

Indy learned a valuable lesson that day. Never trust doctor octopus to go on adventures with you.

Can you imagine what was going through the ancient architects' heads when building the temple?
"Sir, I see that you want a giant boulder, perfectly carved as a sphere, that will destroy the entire temple?"
"That's right."
"Well, we already have so many traps, and..."
"What's your point?"
"Well, it just seams like there are easier ways to kill a person."
"GIANT BOULDER, and that's final!"

This movie franchise inspired AT LEAST 4 video game series; Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Deadfall Adventures and Temple Run.

I've seen this movie probably 25+ times and I just realized that's Alfred Molina....crazy.

Thirty years later and this movie is still more exciting than the stuff Hollywood makes these days.

Everything looks so real. I miss the good old times where movie producers actually had to move their asses to give us an awesome scene rather than sit afront of a computer and work with animations.

I think most actors get tired of discussing their work, but then again they can't possibly know how important this movie was and is to a 14 year old boy like me suffering from chronic, life long untreatable depression. Watching Raiders in a local theater in a matinee showing during summer holidays is as good as life can possibly get. I've watched Raiders hundreds of times and as an anti-depressent it is absolutely unparalleled. I'm 51 and I'm still here.

Fun fact: This was Alfred Molina's first movie role.

I used to think that surgeons did something like this when they were doing heart transplants.

Amazing how thrilling this whole scene is before we know about the character. We don’t know his job, why he wants the idol, or even his name yet, but Spielberg and Ford make it work anyway.

I remember my friends and I made out own Indy film a good number of years back and it was probably the most fun I've ever had. Spending nearly every day going out with a crappy camera but in our minds, making a masterpiece. Sadly I lost the only copy of it and it troubles me to this day. These classic films are so inspiring for young filmmakers.

Movie magic, still probably the best action/adventure film of all time.
