I'm having a hard time believing that the crew members don't have emergency locator beacons on them. I think the seats have GPS in them in case the pilots eject.

imagine falling to the ground and looking at the clouds and sky, knowing it’s the last thing you’ll see.

My family and I were camping at bumping lake when two f-18 flew in hot and buzzed the lake. Scared the hell out of everyone. Sounded like an incoming attack😅

Knowing where they fly, good chance the pilot slipped up and impacted the walls of the canyon.

Some commentators on TV have referred to the crash as a C-FIT ( Controlled Flight Into Terrain ). If the aircrew survived, they would have attempted to make some sort of contact, and the Navy has not made any comments in regards to this. It is very likely that the aircraft commander ( Pilot ) made some type of navigational error, and did not have enough time to correct course, or literally no time to eject. There is a high probability that the aircrew are either gravely injured, or deceased.

Flying through those canyons. Clearly they impacted. Sad.

This type of aircraft has location capability automatically working even if crashed. There is no way that the officers are lost.

Only the best of the best fly those kinds of planes. They put their lives on the line and their services are irreplaceable. Deepest condolences.

They’ll tell us when we have a need to know, and have the information we need to know.

They'll show an image of an aircraft that would, after a crash, be unrecognizable as such, but if a murderer is wandering about, they'll blur the image, or simply not show the dangerous person's image, at all.
Curious. 🤔

It is very steep in places around there. If the ejected safely it would still take some time to get out of there. There is a lot of low level canyon carving training that is done in the cascades. It is dangerous but if they got out of the plane then they would have to get out of the woods. It has not been as cold as it can be around this time of year. I will remain hopeful.

Alot low level flying... civil (no mention on news) and military but news is mentioning about it like in my little town...we are not set up for f 15 f 35 ... But we are in between two bases that are in that if anything happens would be good... something up..heads up people..look up..not t.v.

Well i smell an investigation into the egress shop (Air Force terminology) as to why the NACES is missing basic equipment. I feel like a bloom of smoke might be a good place to start looking for a downed jet...🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe they do things different in the Navy haha but all planes act the same when they slam into the ground.
