Navy jet wreckage found, search continues for crew | FOX 13 Seattle

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, news broke that aerial search crews located the wreckage of a Navy aircraft crash near Mount Rainier.

Having grown up on Naval and Marine Corps air stations I can say this hits everyone hard. I pray they find these men alive but it is unlikely. At the low altitudes and speeds they operate at there is little to no time to eject. Aircrew survival vests and the ejection seat pan contain flares, communications, ground markers and other locating gear. The Growler is a highly advanced electronic warfare aircraft containing highly classified equipment. Until the Navy locates and secures the wreckage they will not make a lot of definitive statements about the incident. And just say "information from the Navy". Saying "Navy Air forces" shows your ignorance.

This is why I have so much respect for military fighter pilots. Their job is dangerous. I am such an advocate right now for more drone pilots so we aren't putting these people at risk unnecessarily. Praying for everyone to be found alive and safe.

They can find the crew easily in other countries. The pilots have got to be dead.😢.If they were alive they have many things on them to show where they are.They would have been found fast.And they are not telling us the whole story. I am sure they can tell if the seats were still there or not by now.

Showing images of an intact plane imply that is what they found. Most likely the plane essentially disintegrated when it hit.
