Boeing's troubled Starliner spacecraft has landed safely in the US, three months after it was expected to return to earth. The reusable craft's maiden journey to the International Space Station was marred by malfunctions. Instead of travelling home aboard the Starliner, the astronaut crew are now stuck in space until February.

So Boeing can't keep their airplanes IN the sky, and can't get their spaceship OUT of the sky. I think their time has come and gone.

The question I didn't hear them ask: what happens if ISS has an emergency and they have to emergency evacuate? They can't sit on the lap of other astronauts, can they?

It's great that there are enough people to play "Mahjong" together

lady: nothing to worry about?
expert: no.

So why did it come back empty?

They are NOT stuck!! This was planned as a much shorter mission and for a Scientist, the chance to spend more time in space conducting experiments and research is a dream come true! They aren’t alone either because new people from another mission just arrived and more may be coming also.

*The other news channel was saying "Successfully Landed." This one is saying, "Safely Landed". Such optimistic people, full of the bright side.* PS 1:39 WTF is Space EAX?

Thats just what you want to hear. We have two 60 year olds stuck in space for 8 months. Good luck with that!

Boy, the government sure does love blaming everyone else even when the product works as advertised.

I found it weird to see on the live feed that the door on the capsule suddenly changed from open to closed.
Can anyone explain why this process wasn't visible in the live feed?

"Stuck in space"😅. As long as they have supplies, I guess they would be fine.

Good news : the starliner had come back successfully . Bad news : without the two persons.

Love how SpaceX is making Boeing and all other space agencies look like a bunch of amatures.

If I knew I had to rely on one of Musk’s companies to get me back I’d be terrified.

Exactly what I said, I would risk coming back
rather than stuck in

In the end it was just a storm in a teacup, I guess (as the trip back went flawlessly)

I understand getting up there is tough. But why can't there be capsules that just freefall? What if someone falls ill?

Sounds like under water. Someone’s knocking. On the door.
