Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who were supposed to spend just eight days on the ISS, now face an indefinite stay due to technical difficulties with their spacecraft, nicknamed Calypso. In a recent call with journalists, the two astronauts shared their exciting and nerve-wracking experience aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. Their mission, meant to be the final test before regular astronaut missions, has turned into a journey filled with unexpected problems and quick thinking.

I was company-mates with Suni at Annapolis. She has always had a positive attitude. I am praying that she makes it back down safely.

Boeing needs to worry about their damn planes before they start sending stuff to space!

The $4.2 billion went mostly to shareholders and executive bonuses. The money is gone!

‘Reliable’ and ‘Boeing’ will never go in the same sentence. 🤣🤣

Since their mission was only 8 days, they are essentially guests now. ISS is now an Airbnb.

The crew nicknames the starliner.."Calipso"?
They should have nicknamed it, "The SS Minnow"..
the boat of " Gilligans island" fame!
Both left the crew marooned.

Made by Boeing.... What a magnificent commercial for the company that preferred it's shareholders and dodgy fusion than their own workforce.

If you ever go to the space station...make sure to pack some hair bands.

Boeing should not have received more compensation than SpaceX, as the Crew Dragon had perfect functionality while the Starliner had lots of problems and delays both before and after the launch. Ironic considering Boeing criticized SpaceX's reliability. You
can´t lose FIVE RCS thrusters, and yes, some of them got recovered (and not even all of them) but this monumental error put the crew's life at risk. Also, the cancellation of the launch just 3 minutes and 50 seconds prior is just ridiculous. And i know, these projects are not easy, but Boeing had enough funding and more than enough time, especially given the two launch cancellations, wich it seems they didn´t use given the FIVE leaks in the helium supply. Boeing is a mess!

As soon as I heard BOEING, my questions were answered. Good luck up there.

Dump the Starliner and get crew dragon to rescue them

Who does a 1-10 rating scale where 1 is the best? Seems counterintuitive. The astronaut even got it wrong and had to correct himself

I think Suni had to either cut her hair or put it in an hair thingy, medusa in orbit (long hairs will be in the spacecraft)

I know this is very serious, but I can't look at those 2 Astronauts without seeing the Witch and Munchkin off the Wizard of Oz and not crack up. Sorry 🤷

The show Lost In Space came out in the 60’s and Mission To Mars the 80’s, great movie if you haven’t seen it. This and all of the things on the Jeston’s were predicted and has now come into fruition. Now we just need the aliens to be revealed, but I don’t think we’re ready for that. We’re getting spoon fed a little at a time.

There's NOTHING to worry about. Boeing DEI hires are working out perfectly--look at how well they've done for the Secret Service protecting candidates. Everything's going to be just fine with equity first
