Came here to read ferry jokes and I’m disappointed.

My last relationship failed because we didn’t want the same things, among many many other reasons. Now I’m comfortable with the idea of chasing my dreams alone. If I meet someone who want to do it with me, cool. If not I don’t, nothing changes, I keep going for it! I never wanted the house in the suburbs/city, work a 9-5, do family stuff on the weekend kind of life. My childhood was dysfunctional so I more concerned with doing things my way than going along with the herd. Not many women can get down with my lifestyle and the ones that might accept it are chaotic, liberal leftist types, pretty much red flags with arms and legs.

I submit that most guys naively submit to the role of ferry captain believing there will be some reciprocal benefits. Further they naively believe if the woman gets on his boat it must mean she likes or is attracted to HIM! Don’t be fooled. She likely sees it as a means to her ends in that moment. When the ship sails she’s going to be unhappy and he’s going to be miserable wondering WTF happened to the sweet, agreeable, adorable, available passenger?
