I'm excited to be adding early 16th century german menswear to my wardrobe because it is RIDICULOUS and the world needs more of it.

✩ Things mentioned ✩

The wool and silk were bought from Fabric Mart

The title doesn’t lie, these pants are utterly ridiculous… and I utterly adore them! Can’t wait to see what you create to wear with them.

Dear Angela. You only uploaded yesterday, yet you have at present made 15000+ people happy with your joyous creativity, and your matching nails. Thank you for sharing your creations with the world. We appreciate you!

These did bring me a lot of joy, thank you for making them. Are they silly? obviously, are they practical? oh heck no. But not everything you make has to be a practical dress, coat, skirt or pants. I love it when creators get to make things that make THEM happy, because you can tell even if bits of a project are frustrating, they are having fun and its not a chore. Please keep making things that make you happy .

They are some incredible pants. You are at your best when you are whimsically following your inspiration through a project and I'm not at all surprised they turned out so flipping good.

The pouffy right leg is giving me flash backs to your brown and silver Renaissance dress in the BEST WAY!! Well done! Sorry to hear you're still having doggie woes.

Ok, but when you present the finished outfit, you'll have to style your hair in a 'Prince Valiant' bob. Nothing else will do. I demand it!

I just love how the one side looks all business, and the other side looks all hairy and goat like -- half Pan, if you will. Oddly, the mullet version of pants! Business on the left, Shenanigans on the right!

You know that scene in finding Nemo when marlin is being talked to by the small sea turtle and marlin is like, 'look you're cute but I have no idea what you're saying'? That was me at the construction of these 🤣 I really love the final product, even if I shall never be able to make myself a pair

What a delightful project ! I made a historical landsknecht a while ago with the same vibe of asymmetrical fabrics and textures, but this make me want to make another one for me in crazy colors like neon pink ! Your work is gorgeous as always.

I could 1000% see these on a hip hop star on the red carpet. Love them!

These are MAGNIFICENT pants!!! I'm in love with them. Thank you for sharing your creative process with us in this video. The different texture elements you brought together based on the painting are such fun. I am really interested to see you make the top (doublet?) to pair with them.

Always so satisfying to make a project entirely out of fabric from the stash ❤️✨

If I created one thing that complicated in my lifetime I would be impressed : ) you are exceptionally talented : ) I made a handssewn 18th century linen petticoat and apron. Just finished a linen flat sheet. Next up: linen pillowcases with a flap and French seams a bottom sheet and the chemise I have been putting off.

Those are fabulous! When I was active in the SCA, I always wanted to try some of those, but never got up the nerve. I may have to try them just for myself.
