coolest though would be a diesel generator on the trailer so its a diesel electric bike.
electric: easy, clean, finite range, small kwh of juice.
gasoline: infinite range, many kwh of juice.
electric + gasoline = chad ebike, lots of juice.
part 2 coming soon. part 2 will show the speed upgrade from 25 to 45mph

As someone who's biked for over 40years. Everyone on you tube is pulling a Mountain, To get a bike to go. Take generator, Add bike rack on back, And plug and go. Max I've done in one day, No assist is 125 miles. Generator will add to fun, But lets not forget. Object of bike is to pedal. Good Luck;)

Cool video but you are supposed to turn off the throttle down feature when you turn the generator off and only turn it on once the thing you are charging is connected. But that's just technically true to keep good generator life I'm sure it doesn't really matter in reality.

i am currently working on a faster version of this / modification. Basically, I am running 40 volts (12series x 3.4v/cell) which limits to 25mph as k~v, but i will soon upgrade to 80 volts by series another SMPS supply and another a123 battery pack which should do 40mph. 40mph requires roughly 2kw so my 1800w generator should be able to handle it for infinite range.
the biggest plus of this build is most ebikes have small top ranges, but a hybrid allows for infinite range assuming gas stations are accessible for refuelling of generator. some analysis shows the generator costs 50 cents / hr to run for an estimated range of 150-200 miles / gallon for the hybrid.

looks like a death ☠️ machine that wooden plank trailer is just begging 🙏 to get impaled on. but it’s a good start to an idea 💡 it needs refinement

Nice would love to know if it works on the DC port without the batteries ?

Bump it up to 52v!💯👍 That'd be not too fast, but not too slow either. How many watts is it, & what it's infinite ah? 🤔

Nice work, but wouldn't it be simpler to just power the bike straight from a gas engine or straight from a hub motor/battery? Your objective was infinite range but I don't see this being a very practical touring vehicle. Cool concept though.

Can you run the generator while its plugged into the battery, and use the bike at the same time? Instead of charging it while its stopped?

I beat the high cost of gasoline and diesel and solar charge my eBike for free $$$
