FDA Authorizes Novavax for Kids Ages 12-17

On August 19 the FDA authorized the Novavax COVID vaccine for kids ages 12-17. The vaccine was authorized for adults ages 18 and older back on July 13. The FDA agreed to modify the emergency use authorization for the vaccine to include those ages 12-17. Novavax uses a traditional protein-based vaccine like a flu shot or shingles shot. We explain.
