I understand that the actors don’t want the movies rebooted, but a live action tv series isn’t going to erase the movies.

Tonks' character was one of the most watered down for the movies. This was one of the reasons why I didn't like movies 5+6 as much. Natalia should be glad that a new interpretation will do her character justice. Edit: Same with Ginny. It's funny that the actors/characters who were most misrepresented are the most angry at this.

I have to say that those actors that think it is too soon for a reboot are quite naive. Hollywood loves constantly rebooting franchises. Just look how many actors have played Spiderman in a 20 year span. Once Hollywood gets a material that has become a hit they will always keep going to the well.

The movies can be cherished. However, a series allows for more exploration of the books. There is also enough source material to do a series that leads up to the Harry Potter movies.

All these actors getting upset at other people playing the character, they had to know how big the series is and that it will likely outlive all of them. They couldn't possibly have thought they'd be the only ones atratched to those characters forever.

I still don’t get why people are calling it a reboot. It is not a reboot the source material is a book not the movies. It’s simply an adaptation

I wish JK the best of luck and who cares what the former actors think anyway most that are against it are doing for political reasons which should never happen. She made most of them stars and brought new life to most of their dwindling careers. And since they didnt really do the movies where the books were this is a perfect opportunity to redo it the right way. So many that don't want to see it rebooted where the same people who are crying that the books were better than movies will never add up to them. So it is a perfect opportunity to do it and if you do it right it can be awesome

The movies will always be there, the reboot isn't going to erase it from existence . I feel like a lot of these actors who are against it are only thinking about themselves and want to be the *only* face behind the characters. I very much doubt Dan would return considering he hasnt been very fond of JKR in recent years and even distance himself from the franchise since DH. Tom Felton is literally the only actor from the movies that I can see coming back.

I do not want to see Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe to return to the Harry Potter series in any capacity. They're ungrateful actors who bashed the one woman and wrote a fantastic book series. That would be the honest, charity giving amazing writer JK Rowling!!!! None of the actors or actresses that bashed JK Rowling for telling the truth as it is or for anything else, should NEVER EVER get even a penny more then these ungrateful actors & actresses. I never want them to be anywhere for anyting the JK Rowling is a part of!!! What has the world come to, when truth & facts are not accepted & lies and immortality is okay and the norm??!!!!

The tv series won't erase the movies. I'll never understand the idea people have of the newer "ruining" the older.

I was honestly sceptic at first. But when you think about it, a tv show will be able to do so much more. Yes, the movies had great actors and they were great! I mean, i can imagine that they will put in all the memories of Voldemort for example. Or Dumbledore's funeral. Just to name something. I loved the HBO The Last Of Us series. So i'm hoping for something good!

Can’t say this loud enough, reboots don’t remove or delete the originals from existence, if anything reboots that are good or bad can make people wanna see where they came from and read the books and watch the films 🤷🏼‍♂️

Personally, I want them to keep the same music. It's nostalgic, it's perfect. You don't get better than John Williams.
