Looks and features definitely play a big part. I'm black, but i am 6'4", a fitness model, athlete, and bodybuilder, and I've dated and hooked up with nearly every ethnicity of women. If you have the looks, then a womans culture and preferences of what man they thought they wanted goes out the window completely.

As a black woman I’ve never struggled dating men from other races. However Black men called me too dark. My longest relationship was with a Latino. But my now husband is white. I’ve dated Asian too.

If someone doesn’t want to date you because of your race why would you want to date them. I’m all for self-improvement but doing it in hopes that people outside of your race would date you is crazy. But to each is own.

I'm asian. This isn't the worst take, but a better one is, I liked white women for the longest time. Since I never saw any other race growing up as much. I preferred white women. Now that I am older, I would much rather date someone similarly to how I look. I do not know why, but it is preferred.

As a white man, it sucks to know that this is really a thing.. I wish it wasn’t like this.
