Finding Absolute Extrema on a Closed Interval (Introduction)

This Calculus 1 video explains the steps for finding absolute extrema on a closed interval for some function. We work an example of finding absolute maximum and minimum on a closed interval by finding the critical points for the function, and then we evaluate the function at all of its critical points and endpoints. Finally, we choose the values that indicate the absolute maximum and minimum on the closed interval.
