Hey Tony. What appears to be paper loss or wear on the spine of Lotus is part of original graphic design - like looking at an expanding beam of light or a galaxy through its edge. Like you I knew the album in the '70s but couldn't afford it when it came out. I was finally able to buy a Dutch copy new in April '79 at the flagship Sam The Record Man store on Yonge St in Toronto for 15.98! Unsold stock they wanted to shift, I guess, but not a cut-out. I still have that copy, and now also have the earlier MOFI from Japan (obi strip but no 'Original Master...' heading) that came out a few years back. This is one of the most elaborate and beautiful LP covers ever produced...

Great video !! Back in the day this album was available on double cassette which included a custom box and may have been available on 8-Track tape. About 25 years ago I found one in a used record store and grabbed it real quick.
