How to change your IMEI NUMBER to get free unlimited data (Well not capped). Not capped data with Visible wireless and Mint Mobile on a Mofi Router. IMEI number can be changed in the hardware and software for privacy and to identify as a mobile phone instead of a router. Do not use capped internet that is sold as UNLIMITED. Changing MAC addresses normally entails swapping out physical hardware, but using VPNs work to hide I.P. addresses to stop throttling, there are also spoofers. The Internet of Things is allowed to have IMEI numbers, so eventually device types descriptions will have to accommodate that truth or reality, an IoT device connected to the internet(akin to a device with a Data only Plan). There are ways to change IMEI numbers with certain cellphones, I posted the link to them.

I don't have a channel or an agenda i want to i DO have the solution to this. Call MOFI and ask for the firmware to change IMEI. They will happily send it to you.

I have this working with my verizon plan by updating the IMEI to match AND running all traffic through a VPN. If you don't run traffic through VPN, then carrie will call it mobile hotspot data.

So what provides the best NSA level protection for "web browsing" Tor, Mullvad, Decentralized VPN (Mysterion), Freenet, Proxies, others or some combination of those? Obviously already using an anonymous machine and wifi. Heard proxies don't do much unless encrypted like a VPN. Scared of malicious Tor nodes. Don't trust centralized VPNs. Don't want to make my own VPN. And not sure how secure the other options are.

2 years ago I bought a Huawei Honor Max 5G and had it shipped to me here in the U.S. When I called my MVNO mobile phone carrier they asked me for the IMEI number in my "about phone" settings and told me that they could connect me with thier TMobile towers SIM card (they have the ability to assign either GSM or CDMA service with 2 different SIM cards they have). After many months of horrible service running off TMobile towers I started doing some research and found that my phone also has an MEID number in its "about phone" settings area. I did a google search and read that a phone which has both identifiers (IMEI & MEID) can connect to either technology....BUT when I called my provider they said that was INCORRECT. Can someone explain this to me please. thanks!!
