The baggy sweatpants hack is what we soldiers have been doing in the military. Instead of a hair tie, we use elastic straps that are called "Garters"

The baggy sweatpants hack is the same thing the military has been doing with blousing straps

The hair tie thing for the sweatpants is literally how we secure our trousers over our boots in the military, except they make specific “boot bands” for that purpose. They are stronger than hair ties and have metal hooks so you don’t have to try and slide them over your boots/ feet when getting dressed. They’re like 50 cents a pair and my last pair lasted me nearly a year of daily wear while in garrison and the field

Ok so I’ve tried that Versace scarf top diy and I used the fashion tape and it seem to be secured pretty good, so I went out to an amusement park. Little did I know that the roller coaster I went on would be so jerky that the tape came off (I didn’t have a sorts bra on) and the picture that was taken at the end of the ride would show me struggling to get the shirt back on. So the picture got flagged and I got pulled aside by some workers or security idk who so I had to explain the whole thing and I’m scared to go back there 🤣

I'm 63 and we use to do the bandana's with a round metal choker around the neck for summer blouses.
It was cheaper and really cute.
So much stuff is being redone.
It's all retro or vintage.
Most think it's something new.
I think that it's cool but they should see where a lot of things started.

I think you could use a safety pin instead of the tale if you're scared of it not holding together

I love how the second jean hack is pretty much "make a scarf a belt".

For the scarf top, if you don’t mind two holes in your scarf you could use a clip-style brooch instead of tape. I usually find elegant ones at thrift stores.
