The Acolyte is everything Kathleen Kennedy's Lucasfilm wants and it is truly Disney Star Wars in it's final form.

That "Yass Yass" is going to haunt her like "Weird Weird" is going to haunt Zegler

Any criticism is racist.. convenient.
It's a nice way to never be criticized

Remember boys and girls: Kathleen Kennedy said that when she first read the script for this show SHE CRIED. 😂

"Split one consciousness into 2 bodies"
That explains a lot! Each twin have half a brain!

I miss the Star Wars that didn’t revolve around gender, sexuality, and agenda.

Star Wars the acolyte is a lesson in why activists should never be entertainment creatives

"What am I doing to these young women?" - Leslie Headland

If only she asked herself that question when she was working for Harvey Weinstein.

The absolute mental gymnastics these Disney Star Wars shills are pulling off in order to save face with the Acolyte would make the US gymnastics team look jealous.

They're so far removed from reality the only thing they can fall back on is labelling everyone racist, misogynist, toxic and trolls. Despite all the other successful stories with every single diversity imaginable as a main character, it's clearly the bigoted fan's fault that this show is trash.

I cancelled my Disney + . When it asked me why I’m cancelling, I replied “ This company is not safe for children “.

Before the Acolyte came out, "lesbian space witches" was a huge selling point for any male audience

Imagine having the rights to make Star Wars stories and this is the crap you come up with

People gave Hayden Christensen shit for his acting in the prequel series. Dude deserves an Oscar compared to every other actor in Disney Star Wars today. We didn't know how good we had it back then.

I've stopped watching. I've been in arguments with black nerd groups over it. They asked me to give my honest "legit criticisms", and I do - nothing about the lead being female, nothing about DEI, just all about the writing and plot. And I still get called a self-hating black person who hates women.

🙃 what a world.
I'll add - I was told that the actress was being "oppressed", and I argued that "no person who is a lead of a star wars franchise project, makes good money, and is still in work, is being 'oppressed' by 'mean comments' on a social platform".
I was responded to by way of saying look at the examples of Kelly Marie Tran and Boyega -- to which I pointed out "How were they oppressed? Kelly simply left twitter, which was a smart move because it's a cesspool, and Boyega himself aired his issues via working with Disney. Both have continued to work, and have had multiple projects immediately after their star wars movies. How are they oppressed? How were their careers impacted when they're still getting work?"

It devolved into changing the subject.

I'm tired of people trying to defend badly written projects with various types x-isms. I really am. It undermines REAL prejudices, and it cheapens actual diversity and actual inclusivity that takes time to actually build well written narratives.

But apparently, people don't care about that - they just want main stream media to sell them slop and call it good. 🤷🏾‍♂

2:45 Leslye Headland really fumbled answering a question that was essentially "is it important for ur antagonist to have a motive?" if a showrunner can't answer that then ur in trouble lmao.

"...dug so deep into both of the girls... "

So this really was personal for Harvey's former enabler.
