In Sol's defense, it was still a terrible accident but that was only because he misread the situation, which was a very easy thing to do. He saw what he believed to be Osha rushing out and saying help me. He then saw Aniseya turned into some kind of shadow phantom and looked to be taking what he believed to be Osha away. The girl who wants to leave but they won't let her. He did act rash, but in that situation there wasn't really anything else he could do.

Alright to be fair, I can understand why Mae hates Sol and I wouldn't be surprised that even after she heard what he had to say she still hates him. Losing your Mother at that age is hard enough. For someone to outright kill her, that is harder. I honestly don't blame Mae for wanting revenge on the Jedi. Yeah she started the fire, however most of the witches, if not all of the witches were killed by the Jedi. The only family and people she knew. Pretty tough to take in, especially if your eight.
