I Just Bought ANOTHER Wrecked GT3 To Fix My GT3RS!

- Well here is the answer to our GT3RS body that is destroyed! A NEW to us, 991.2 GT3! These two cars share a TON of similarities that will hopefully help us with our new mission and that is to swap the RS drivetrain into the GT3! I don't believe this has been done before which makes it all more exciting!

Hey teeg,
While you have the dash out, maybe it would be prudent to check that main crash fuse because it's located right at the back under the dash at the firewall and if you go through and put it all together and it doesn't start because of that fuse being blown, it'll be a lot of work to rip the entire dash out again because that's the only way to access it. So checking it first might be a good idea. It was one of the big issues that Matt Armstrong had when he was rebuilding Adam LZ's crashed Porsche.

Very cool project. Subscribed! There is zero chance this make any financial sense, but it will be fun to watch.

From my knowledge the RS and regular gt3 are similar and quite different. RS obviously has a bit more power from the same engine. Somehow has a slightly lower redline than the regular GT3. Suspension is the same besides the way it’s set up(or just different springs). The RS has lightweight glass instead of regular glass. And overall just lightweight panels which make the cost difference so huge. If ordering the rear deck lid with spoiler, carbon fenders, carbon hood from the dealer it will set you back about 50k. Rest of the body panels are the same. You should definitely go the full RS route to maintain resale value. You don’t want to keep it as a regular GT3 with a RS engine because it will be a tough sell. Everyone is already skeptical about salvage rebuilds and that will add to the skepticism if someone has not watched your vids.

Tj, in Seattle there is a 2019 gt3rs in Seattle.
Owner took delivery Sunday morning ( last week ) and ended up driving off the road into a lake( yes same day and a few hours later ) and up for sale now i could give you more info 😂 yes I’m 100% for real
