Tundras are experiencing waaay more common problems than they should. Rear diff replacements, main bearing failure leading to full engine replacements, poor door seals, turbos with metal shavings in them… the list goes on, and these things are happening on trucks with under 10K miles on them. Now the Tacoma is seeing similar issues!

My 12' Altima has NONE of the problems that these Toyota's have. It's been bulletproof for the 11 years i've owned. I do change the CVT transmission fluid every 30, 000 miles or 3 years because this is the vehicles weak spot.

This was brought on by Consumer Reports. Toyota was perfect, all other cars in their view are junk. This goes back to the 1970's when I was a kid. I consider all Toyota's to be junk, excluding the Tacoma which I like.

My biggest Toyota issues as a lifelong Toyota driver...
1. Lack of tech
2. Reluctance to innovate
3. Their dislike of large SUVs
4. Treating the North American Market as second class red headed step children
5. Killing off or ignoring popular models.
6. Killing off or failing to produce their own sporty cars.
7. Not selling unique or interesting models in the North American market.
8. Killing off Scion
9. Their tendency towards large obnoxious grilles
10. Selling old models at top prices far beyond the point they should have been reworked.

but in no way shape or form is one of my issues reliability or the occasion issue.

This is kind of stupid, you said the tacoma got little over 1000 complains from 2000 to 2021, if you take in consideration that toyota on average sell 190k tacomas each year the 1000 complains are insignificant

Do not buy any brand new vehicles, especially Toyota's. You can plan to purchase an older used vehicle outright, like a second-generation Hyundai Santa Fe with the 3.3 L or the 3.5 L V6 engine or a first-generation Mazda 5 with the automatic transmission, instead.
