Did I make a HUGE mistake buying this blower? In today's video, we look at a Stihl backpack blower I recently purchased, the BR 800 C. It is a beast of a blower but has some downsides that I think are worth highlighting and that is what we will be covering in this video

Had mine 3years now haven’t had any bother and wow the power is incredible, I never knew about special fuel I’ve just been using 50/1 as all my kit is Sthil, well worth the investment

Had that blower for years- I just use standard 2 stroke mix and have never had a problem...

Can’t be bothered with the hassle of valves engines. That’s why I got echos pb8010. Absolute beast of a blower, more powerful than the br800 too.

Nice upgrade chaps, I would run the Stihl green oil in all your 2 stroke kit, its a lot better than the red stuff. Checking the valve clearances is easy as well, no need to take it to dealer 👌👍

Had my blower 14 years but it packed up after 12 months. Can’t be arsed to get rid though as don’t want to be dating again.

Thanks for all your videos
I have always found the echo pb770 is less noisy, doesn't have valves and it more powerful, and people say last longer too .
I normally use all Stihl stuff but just really like the echo backpack, the hand blower was terrible though, no where near as good as the Stihl handheld .
I do like the fine tube on the br600 backpack for nose power going down steps and things .
The clip and the back start are good features, nothing worse than a customer coming out when your blowing

I've had my BR600 a few years now. Had the valve checked after a year. You only need to do it the once ( I think )
It has enough power for all my needs. Although it does like a drink!

I purchased br800 end of august ready for the leaf drop season took out of box mid September used for just over 1 month and very mixed throughs yes it is powerful and the Side pull start is very handy little temperamental top tip is don’t force the pull give it few seconds to start . I am using in full on commercial environment using the fuel and oil as stated .And its broken needs new engine crank shaft broken started with rattling and then stop with load crunch . No new engines available in Uk and there good few sat on bench’s in work shops with the same problem . Yes it will get fixed under warranty not sure when at this stage and been informed you have to give manufacturer change to repair no chance on whole new blower replacement . Stihl quality is very poor compared to how used to be.

I get a bit of envy when I see someone with a Stihl backpack. I've been rocking a Husqy 350bt for years now, it doesn't lack power, but it's loud, thumps into your back if you've had it on a couple of hours doing leaves, and it's not very good ergonomically as it's hard to adjust for a comfy control grip. I've been switching to Stihl battery for hedge cutters, small chainsaws, quick strimming jobs and little tidy ups with a handheld blower over the last couple of years, so quiet, no fumes, no regrets, but you need power for leaves in winter.

Best blower ive used. The pull cord is the gamechanger, dont know why they arent all like that.

The biggest thing you missed on the blower is the switch inside the housing where the filter is, makes a big difference. Also you don’t need to use the ultra or super 2 stroke if you’re putting 95 fuel in. All it does is burns the fuel cleaner and reduces smoke. Also buy it in 5lt tanks and above it’s a huge saving and lasts up to 5 year, so plenty of time to use it.

If you want this blower to work effectively on the lawn, you need to replace the end of the tube. The best tip is the BR700 tip, the slightly bent one

There is nothing between the Stihl and Echo blowers both excellent machines I’ve used both .

Never knew the super oil was required, never used it in anything

Stihl need to make it more known about the need for HP Ultra oil in 4 mix engines. Tbh i don't know why they don't get rid of the red mineral one and just keep the super and ultra and lower the price

I wouldn’t buy one ever again. Better blowers out there.

A big mistake buying a still. As a retired lawnmower dealer in northern Ireland you should have bought the echo PB 8010. A far better blower.

Lifting the carpet up and sweeping the dirt under? So you can't remove the leaves? That too hard? When I was an apprentice on the Parks Department and working in the park, I spent hours each day raking leaves using a rubber rake!

Super special oil 🤔
Is it a 2/stroke engine or a 4/stroke engine.
No valves to be checked if it's a 2/stroke.
So, no costly dealer adjustments..
