In my heart I will always hold him as my Doctor. I still remember that day I watched my first episode of Doctor Who over 10 years ago, and I started with series 5. Of course I went back and watched the earlier years but he was, and always will be, the first face of the Doctor that this face ever saw. God bless Matt Smith and Steven Moffat for giving us these golden years.

I stopped watching Doctor Who after Capaldi's first and second seasons. I gave him a shot, and I thought he did great with what he was given, but it... I just missed Eleven so much. I always went through the cycle before, 'hate he's leaving, curious about the new guy, not sure about the new guy, fall in love with the new guy, new favorite guy', but it just didn't happen with Capaldi. The writing got weaker, and I just missed Eleven too much. I'm super happy to see the new guy taking over and I love Jodi, so I'm catching up on Capaldi and I'm going to give it another go, but I still have a feeling the love and strength of will and emotion in Eleven will never truly be captured again as each Doctor has their own unique personality, and his just resonated with me the most. Beautiful tribute, made me miss loving Doctor Who as much as I did.

11 is one of the best Doctors ever and Matt Smith gave one of the best performances in television history. He plays the character as a tired, old man stuck in a childish, young man's body. He has some of the best scenes in Doctor Who and he will go down as a classic Doctor.

And I'm not just talking about Doctor Who, how many times has anybody in any show equalled the original? Yes it does happen and on those rare occasions, its magical.
