The Überlingen mid-air collision was a tragic aviation accident that occurred on July 1, 2002, over Lake Constance near the town of Überlingen, Germany. The incident involved two aircraft: a Bashkirian Airlines Tupolev Tu-154 passenger jet and a DHL Boeing 757 cargo plane.

The collision happened when the Tupolev Tu-154, carrying 60 people, was descending to land at Friedrichshafen Airport. At the same time, the DHL Boeing 757 was climbing to avoid traffic. Due to a series of miscommunications and errors, the two planes collided in mid-air, resulting in the deaths of all 71 people on board the Tupolev and the crew of the DHL flight.



Overall, the Überlingen mid-air collision was not the deadliest it is a reminder of the need for vigilance and clear communication in air travel.

My friend was on that area when the plane crashed he was sleeping and he heard the explosion he went outside to check and saw bodies and debris falling from the sky and he was not injured, but he will never forget that day

Finally we got the correct livery of Bashkirian airlines 2937! Still like the old season 2 animation better tho
Cuz it shows more of the two planes and it has more realistic movement than the remake

I liked the new animation effect, but... I feel like it's a bit short, don't you think?

In my opinion, they finally fixed the real livery. But, the plane crash scene prefers the old ACI version. This season for me is too lacking animation for Uberlingen, they should have made the effect of how the Bashkirian debris fell like a meteor shower and the impact when it fell. Likewise, the scene where DHL fell until both of its engines came off in the air was also not animated. I really hope ACI makes this, but it seems lacking

Research about Uberlingen mid air tragedy. It makes me in tears because how terrible this tragedy happened in that night, school children from Ufa, Russia on school trip vacation to Barcelona. Imagine how excited they are and end up with tragedy.

71 dead and before the Investigators released their final report, the air traffic controller who was on duty at the time of the mid-air collision was murdered by a parent of the victims. A husband/dad who lost his wife and two kids: his son and daughter.
