USSTRATCOM HQ hosted three professors from the Air War College on Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., Oct. 11, 2018. Topics discussed ranged from warfare modernization to commercial technologies non-state actors are using within USSTRATCOM mission areas.
Presenters:
- Paul J. Springer, PHD, discusses Revolutions in ‘Military Affairs: Military Robotics and 21st Century Warfare,’ and portions of his new book, Outsourcing War to Machines, the development of military robotics, the legality/morality use in combat, and the likely direction of future developments.
- S. Michael Pavelec, PHD, examines ‘The Future of War.’
- Lt Col Paul Hoffman, PHD, USAF, is a terrorism scholar who discusses ‘Terrorism Present and Future.’ Violent Extremist Organizations and current threats potentially entering into USSTRATCOM mission space.
