Rent has gone up almost 200% in some areas. Some apartments in my small town are starting to charge $1, 200 per month for a 2 bedroom apartment. That used to be approximately $550 only five years ago.

A good analysis.the caller is attempting to externalize the debt, as if it is a force beyond his control. It’s about blaming the red ink, and not acknowledging that it exists because he made those purchases / incurred that debt. It is up to him to make the decisions that will make his negative cash flow positive.

I love wealthy people telling poors to work 2 or 3 jobs when most businesses anywhere but big cities are open the same hours and arent very flexable for part time workers.

Rent is a major issue even if you work 2 or 3 jobs, which no one should HAVE to do. That should only be a choice. For the average person, you are either working non-stop except for some sleep in order to afford that rent or you become homeless. There are no affordable housing anymore. It's BS!

My only issue with Dave Ramseys show is they never hear the full story. I love that they’re faith based but they never hear what’s going on instead they just assume. People come for help let them share how they need to be helped. Our job as believers is to serve not assume.

You shouldn’t have to work 3 jobs to pay rent for a 1 bedroom. In my city 1 bedrooms start at 2500. It’s unbelievable.
