I'm not pretty sure if it is about the same money paradox decision but I had to make a choice a year and half ago.

In September of 2019 I was living in somewhere in Washington state and i was about to get my TN Visa in the US.

I was trying to reach a permission to work in the country, when the guy who was trying to hire me got several financial problems and couldn't finish the whole process with the USCIS and that got me stock.

There I was, in the States with no legal status and trying to finger out what to do for living, stay in the US and being an undocumented person or get back to my own country and try to fix everything from zero.

The smartest choice as much as I can understand, was stay in the States being an illegal, get any job doing anything available, get some money, hire some immigration lawyer and fix my own status.

I was about to take a difficult decision because ICE was able to arrest me cause they already knew where I was living due to my visa process but at the same time, staying in the US, being able to get any job with cash pay allows me to get closer to my main goal, pay the immigration lawyer and get legal status.

Finally, trying to do my best for me, I made a decision and I got back to my country.
