My all time favorite movie is the 1947 Oscar winner Life with Father. Elizabeth Taylor was around 15 years old at the time. A charming depiction by the author of his upper middle class family at the turn of the century. His mother even consulted on the set decor representing their home.

Oh my goodness! So thankful to come across this video. I was born in 1954 so all my life Elizabeth Taylor has been the personification of beauty, fame, romance, "Hollywood", great acting, etc etc. The romance of Taylor & Burton is worthy of the history books! Hopefully, one day, people will be interested, like some are today, of past generations in the film and entertainment industries.

She was electrifying off the screen as well. Can't think of anyone that comes close. And so beautiful. Nature perfecting itself.

Her Virginia Woolf performance should be shown to all acting classes as an example of perfect acting.

LOVE how there wasn't any silly scene-set-up narration. this video is rare as its EXACTLY what the title says it is. very nice.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was shot in the spring of 1958 when Taylor was 26 and Newman 33 and BOTH were at the absolute peak of their otherworldly physical beauty (stellar performances from both too)

Ms Taylor was always underrated even with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. But watch other actresses in the role. None can touch her performance. Virginia Wolfe solidified her talent. But I saw her in The Little Foxes on Broadway. Here was an iconic film star making her stage debut portraying a complex, charming, vile woman. She was electrifying..

Her dialogue always sounds like a well delivered speech deserving of a standing ovation. Richard Burton said she was the best actor he had ever known or worked with.

Wolf is one of the best female performances of all time. I mean, she was always a great actress, but THAT was next level!
