Got the EZ Flash Definitive Edition last Sunday. My only issue is that it doesn’t play SNES games after the initial setup (you’ll have to install a completely different emulator), but it’s really fun thus far. I got it specifically to enjoy the games I never got to play during my childhood. GB, GBC, GBA, and NDS games are extremely expensive these days, so spending about $80 to get dozens, or even hundreds of games is 100% worth it.

if you get the definitive edition (costs like $80) you can connect your gba saves to ds games, like pal park in pokemon, mineral town characters in harvest moon ds, etc

You didn't pick up the Definitive Edition of the Omega based on the smaller PCB in this video. DE has a ROM flashing mode that makes the cart work with GBA-DS link functionality in Pokemon Pal Park.

Some clarification: while this does allow you to technically play original Gameboy games on the DS and GBA, it uses an emulator to run them. While it works well, it may not be 100% accurate to the experience of the original game. You would need a different device designed to play the original Gameboy games.

for people wanting to buy an ez flash, if you want to save and quit the game, always save then wait at least 5 seconds before turning it off, turning it off immediately can corrupt the save data as it takes a little while to save

so what i do is save using the in game funcion and count to 5, then save state and also count to 5, only then i turn the console off
