In this episode, Brett teaches you how to break bad news without breaking trust. Learn how to have difficult conversations with clients and other project stakeholders, and hear a sample script for what delivering bad news might sound like when project issues pop up.

The most important thing you can do as a project manager is to build trust and relationships with your team and stakeholders. The best way to do that is to be honest about what you know—and what you don’t know.

In project management, very few issues resolve themselves. As the project manager, it’s up to you to do that. And you can’t come up with a plan for fixing a problem if you don’t get the issue out in the open.

Watch this video to see how delivering bad news well can help you maintain—and even boost—trust with clients and other project stakeholders.
